The STAR 1-5 Program offers a development pathway for athletes entering a figure skating program for the first time. Falling in the Learn to Train stage of the LTAD model, the program is designed for skaters to be under coach direction as much as possible to aid in the development of training skills as well as offer correct technique and a well balanced skill set. The STAR 1-5 curriculum focuses on strong basics and the early development of complex skills through repetition similar to CanSkate. Skaters at this level or introduced to performance opportunities in the form of both assessments and events. Assessments at this level are also Coach directed and done during lesson time. Events are hosted both at our Home club and at neighboring clubs.
The STAR Program is taught by Certified Professional coaches and consist of Group Lessons, Classes, Stations, Supervised Sessions, Coach Directed time and Individual time. You do not need to hire a private coach as the coaches work as a Team to provide Quality Coaching to all skaters. Meet the Coaching Team here.
